On the quiet side

The beach is in Sandwich, on Cape Cod Bay -- often called "the Cape's Quiet Side'' -- compared with much more densely populated and traffic-clogged south and western shores. That's in part because the Cape Cod Bay water is colder than that in Buzzards Bay and Vineyard and Nantucket sounds.
